Most women in Pakistan are wearing the wrong bra size — usually a band that is too loose and a cup that is too small. The good news: you can measure yourself at home in five minutes with a soft measuring tape. Here is exactly how to do it, plus the size chart we use at Pretty Wear.

## What you need

- A soft measuring tape (the kind tailors use)
- A non-padded bra, or no bra at all
- A mirror

## Step 1: Measure your band size

Wrap the tape snugly around your ribcage, directly under your bust, where the band of a bra sits. Keep the tape level all the way round and breathe out. Note the number in inches.

If the number is **even**, that is your band size. If it is **odd**, add one. Example: 31 inches becomes a 32 band; 34 inches stays 34.

## Step 2: Measure your bust

Now wrap the tape loosely around the fullest part of your bust, usually across the nipples. The tape should touch your body but not squeeze. Note this number too.

## Step 3: Find your cup

Subtract your band measurement from your bust measurement. The difference tells you your cup:

| Difference | Cup size |
| --- | --- |
| 1 inch | A |
| 2 inches | B |
| 3 inches | C |
| 4 inches | D |
| 5 inches | DD / E |

So a 32 band with a 35-inch bust is a **32C**. A 36 band with a 38-inch bust is a **36B**.

## The 4 most common fitting mistakes

1. **Band riding up at the back.** Your band is too big. Go down one band size and up one cup (34C → 32D).
2. **Straps digging in.** The band is doing too little work. Again, try a smaller band.
3. **Cup spilling at the top or sides.** Go up a cup size, keep the band.
4. **Gap at the top of the cup.** Go down a cup size, or try a different style such as a demi or T-shirt bra.

> The band gives 80% of the support. If the band fits right, the straps should barely do any work.

## Free-size bras: when do they work?

Free-size and stretch bras are a comfortable option for sizes 32 to 36 with A–C cups. If you are 38 or above, or a D cup, a sized bra with hook-and-eye closure will give far better support. ## Re-measure every 6 months

Weight changes, pregnancy, and even the season can change your size. A quick re-measure twice a year keeps you comfortable. Need help? Message us on WhatsApp with your two measurements and we will suggest the right styles.
